The True Story of the God and a King:
In the 16th century, on an auspicious occasion , in the presence of rich and famous, close friends, family members, other people with smiles and military commander’s protection, a king prayed to God with an aspiration of Hyderabad, "The Great Dream".
The God pronounced:
Okay! So be it. Your dream; Hyderabad, the great dream will come true!!
In our Non-Aligned Movement countries the metropolitan city Hyderabad had great ancient history. The modern days now also contain many interesting facts.

Excavations near the city have unearthed the Iron age sites that can be dated to Emperor Asoka the Great- 500 BCE is an example of its prehistoric times. Hyderabad had a great interesting place in history. 5th Nizam’s Royal of Asaf Jahi dynasty, Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah laid foundation stone to incarnate Hyderabad. The king’s prayer and his family’s endeavour regarding his dream, Hyderabad, the great dream, is still being a point of discussion and divergent analysis. The then 5th Nizam Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah in 16th century laid foundation for Hyderabad city.
Regarding this he prayed to God: Fill this city of mine with people, as you filled the river with fishes O-Lord!
If we study the present circumstances of Hyderabad one has to agree that his prayer got favorable approval and strong back from God. Now in South India Hyderabad and Secunderabad the twin cities together became a Metropolitan city with the population of above 10 millions. Another synonym for Hyderabad is Hyderabadi biryani. Every Indian desires to taste this biryani which was born from Nizam's kitchen. Also Irani Chai(Irani Tea) and Osmania Biscuits. The largest Asian consulate for the United states of America is situated in Hyderabad. This tells how important the science and technology and information technology of Hyderabad is. Next to the United states of America, Hyderabad is the only city that hosts the Research and development centers for Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft. Hyderabad is the second largest Software exporter in India. 1500 software companies and thousands of Startups are established here. And thus on this land youth glorified with modernity from all over the world are dwelling who are collaborating with the World everywhere.
Likewise the other Asians, Hyderabad also values Culture and Traditions. Here Urdu and Telugu are predominantly spoken languages. People of different races, tribes, religions and languages from the Indian subcontinent live here together harmoniously in integrity.
The Goddess Peddamma pronounced: Hyderabad, The Great Dream.
Peddamma Gudi located at Jubilee Hills is very famous. It is very special during Bonalu. Peddamma means supreme mother. People offer prayers and sacrifices to this mother round the year and she is known to shower her blessings upon each and every devotee and this city.
She is one of the 11 forms of Village Deities and is known as The Supreme most. The Temple is a must-visit during the Bonaalu festival which occurs during June–July every year. People offer their prayers and sacrifices to The Mother round the year, and The Mother is known to shower her blessings on each and every devotee who offers her prayers.
Hindu festival Vinayaka Chavithi idol immersion procession (Elephant headed God) has to be watched and cherished. The Khairathabad Ganesh idol (Elephant headed God) follows an innovative shape,size and looks every year with contemporary ideas. And the auction of Laddu prasadam (sacred sweet offering) is skyrocketing every year. Sadar (festival ) festival which is a buffalo carnival is celebrated annually by the yadava community. Bathukamma is a Hindu goddess festival celebrated predominantly in Telangana and some parts of Andhra Pradesh. Every year this festival is celebrated as per Sathavahana calendar for nine days starting Mahalaya Amavasya (also known as Mahalaya Amavasya or Pitru Amavasya) till Durgashtami, usually in September–October of Gregorian calendar. Bathukamma is celebrated for nine days during Durga Navratri.
It is a land of so many spiritual places like Birla mandir, different Churches, Gurudwaras, Parsi Fire temple (1847) and a lot of Dargahs. This creates a feel of integrity. Another synonym of Hyderabad is Deccan Urdu. It is the mother tongue of muslims . The majority of people in Hyderabad speak and like this variety of Hindustani Deccan Urdu. Visit is a must to the Old city of Hyderabad to listen to this sweet language genuinely. There are interesting reasons for immense interest towards the dialect of this language in the Non Muslim world also.
And Sadar is a buffalo carnival celebrated annually by the Yadav community of Hyderabad, Telangana, India as a part of Diwali. It is also known as Dunnapothula panduga and it occurs on the second day after Diwali. The buffaloes are decorated with garlands of flowers, painted horns, and paraded through the streets, often accompanied by the crowd dancing to the sounds of teen maar Special Yadav Band (Da Daniki). The animals are sometimes encouraged to rear up on their hind legs.
The Bollywood actor late Mehmood Ali, Guinness record holder drama ‘Adrak ke punjey’ and cinema Angrez (released in 2005). During muslims festivals Hyderabad is sparkled fabulously. Preferably during Ramadan festival one should definitely attend Iftar party and consume Haleem once in their lifetime. State protected Mecca masjid, a 17th century congressional mosque in Hyderabad is constructed with the commissioned bricks that were made from the soil brought from the holy site of Islam.

The historic Bibi ka Aalam procession taken out from the old city of Hyderabad is the star attraction of Muharram festival . It is also considered a living example of common harmony for it draws people of different faiths . There is a relic, a piece of the wooden plank enclosed in this alam as well. In the time of king Abdullah Qutub Shah it reached Golconda which was in Karbala for a very long time.
Sir Ronald Ross made his landmark discovery of malarial parasite on august 20 in secunderabad. Hyderabad is the world's vaccination capital till now. It is still an important production center for Pharmaceutical industries. Mines, minerals, manufacturing, tourism and poultry farming are the important industries developed here. Marvelous ultra modern Rajiv Gandhi International airport is established here. Begumpet Airport was operational from 1936.
Kacheguda railway station was established in 1914. State bank of Hyderabad is also from here. For the first time in India of all the princely states paper currency was introduced in Hyderabad, in the year 1918. Most of the Cinema productions were from Tollywood in India. And this land is its base. The first cinema hall called Royal talkies had been established by the Nizams in 1927. Another cinema hall, Yakuth Mahal, was established in 1930 among so many others. The Time magazine published the world’s richest man of that time and 5th richest man in history, the Nizam 7th Mir Usman Ali Khan on its cover page in the year 1937.
